I'm having a problem and haven't found a solution, I hope you can and/or will be able to provide some answers. Whenever I try to send an email with an attachment I get an error message. No further info is given just that there was an error and the email will not clear out of the outbox and keeps sending over and over. I have not been able to move it anywhere except to the drafts folder to stop the multiple sends. It is usually received by the addressee in a normal manner and complete with attachment.

Text only email works normally. This has only started happening recently, why, I haven't any idea as I haven't made any changes in VQME that I am aware of. I am using Outlook Express. It may be something I did but I don't know what. I hope you can help correct the problem and if I did something to cause the problem let me know how to avoid a repeat. Thanks for any help and I truly appreciate the service provided by Vanquish, I would sink overnight without it. paradiso579

We have seen this problem - although rarely. In one case, it was because Outlook simply had too many messages (I think it can exhibit this behavior when the total number of saved messages is in the high tens of thousands.

The message is stuck in Outlook and is not being passed out to the SMTP server. In any event, the problem is unrelated to your use of Vanquish. You can verify this by attempting to send the same message through your ISP or hosted domain service.

Transfer all messages away from your Out folder and delete all current drafts. Try composing and sending a new message with attchment. If the problem persists, try the Outlook repair feature on your Windows setup disc. If this fails (or if you don't have the setup disc), you may need to reinstall Outlook.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I work with Outlook Express NOT Outlook and I haven't seen or been instructed on how to repair or reinstall OE. Would I have to reinstall Internet Explorer or is there another easier or faster approach? Does it make any difference that I use FireFox as my default browser most of the time and only on the very rare occasion do I use IE8. I have sent the identical email with the same attachments through other "special occasion" email accounts (hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo) and there was no hesitancy or trouble whatever. This note is not meant as a complaint but is mostly to advise that I am using OE and not Outlook in the chance that may generate additional or different responses.

O.K. Your test demonstrates that there is a vqME interaction. We don't interpret this as an insult or complaint. It is good test data.

Please contact us on a support ticket and I will call back promptly. When we solve the problem, I will update this support ticket if the cause is relevant to our users (that is, if it is not very peculiar to your specific environment).
