Question: Can vqME deliver clean mail to my PDA, iPhone or another account like gMail?
Asked by Michael "Blueskies", a vqME user
Answer: Absolutely!
vqME can deliver clean mail to 4 outside addresses - in addition to leaving it on the vqME server for pickup by your PC. The feature is configured on your Profiles & Protected Address screen. Look for the link "Copy Clean Mail" to the right of any vqME Profile Address.
If you have multiple vqME Profiles, be sure to configure the Profiles for the addresses that you want mirrored to your remote device.
Important:- Avoid forwarding mail to any address that is POP'd or forwarded back to your vqME account.
- Forwarded mail is not deleted from your vqME In box. If you do not also retrieve mail from another PC, check your vqME webmail page from time to time to avoid exceeding your storage quota.
- Your vqME profile addresses are individually forwarded (up to five addresses may be forwarded to the same or separate addresses). But you must tell us which vqME profile is forwarded to what outside address. There is no charge for requesting or configuring this feature.
- If you generally read mail only at your final forwarding address (that is, you rarely POP it from an email program or visit your IN box at vqme.com), then it is important that your inbound addresses use Foward and not POP. That's because vqME retrieves mail from your other addresses based on how frequently you access your account in these ways.

Is it possible to forward a profile to more than one address? Thanks.
Simon. |

No. But we are working on this feature. (In fact, we just updated our answer to the question that appears immediately above this one. The answer was changed from 'No' to 'Yes')...
Admittedly, the forwarding of clean mail is an afterthought added recently. We must still allow users to enable/disable this feature from their own Profile & Protected Address screen and also support more robust options, such as auto-deletion from the vqME server.
Note that our sister product, vqNow, delivers all clean mail to your own ISP, mailserver, or hosted domain. It doesn't even have a local mailbox (except for Held Mail). See this comparison of vqME (individual retail account) and vqNow (small business or workgroup account). |

Is there a timetable for when you will have autodelete enabled for forwarded emails?
Thanks. _________________ Michael |

No timetable for this. But I promise to update this thread when it becomes available.
Meanwhile, you can set up a POP-and-delete agent from any PC - as long as the PC is on line at least once every month or so. The process is failry easy:
1. Create an email program account to POP your mail. If you wish to make the mail available to any other device, set the "Leave Mail on Server" to 1 day or longer.
2. Create a filter or "rule" that deletes the mail as it arrives. You can use the "TO" and "CC" address to trigger the rule. |
