Update: All Clear
Our service event was announced in advance. The interruption was shorter than anticipated - about 2 minutes.
No mail was lost or delayed beyond 2 minutes. vqME/vqNow web pages were unavailable during this time.

Security Enhancements
During this event, we updated our mail server OS (Linux, Apache) and utilities (PHP, dBs, SquirrelMail), and installed the latest patches and enhancements. All of these are 3rd party systems on which vqME and vqNow operate. Although we do not expect users to see the effects of these enhancements, they improve network security and reduce the equipment load caused by various types of attacks.

Email service may be interrupted briefly on Thursday night / Friday morning, June 24/25 as we upgrade our network and servers.
Work is scheduled at 1AM ET (10PM PT = 0500 GMT) and should last just a few minutes.
