|
Comcast makes it easy to configure email forwarding. This tip explains the benefits of configuring this setting.- Login to your account at www.comcast.net. Use your full email address and password.
- Look for the Control Panel at far right. Click View my Email Settings
- If you have not logged in recently, you may be asked to choose or respond to a security question
- Click to the right of "Email Forwarding" (it says either "Yes" or "No") *
- Depending on your settings, you may need to log in as the primary user to change the settings of individual email adresses
- Choose: Enable Forwarding: YES and Keep a Local Copy: NO.
- Enter the vqME profile address for which you registered this Comcast email address.
- Click Update and check for the response. You may log out.
* NOTE: If the link next to "Email Forwarding" is not active, then your account is set up for management by the Primary user only (it shows this on a separate line further down). You must log in as the primary user.
After you set Comcast to forward mail, go back to your vqME Protected Address page and turn off the POP feature:- Visit your vqME list of Profiles & Protected Addresses
- Next to your Comcast address, click the word POP
- Mark the top option, "I know how to foward..."
- Click Next » Next » Skip » OK
