Users of our original anti-spam product, Vanquish Pro, may have difficulty using Vanquish - or even getting their mail - after installing Service Pack 2 for Windows XP.
SP2 includes a restriction which prevents programs from using the "local host" feature for IP addresses routing, because the technique is often used by viruses. Microsoft has offerred us a utility that allows Vanquish to work with Windows XP even after installing Service Pack 2.
One Quick Solution:*- Click here and choose "Run" or "Open"
- Follow directions (Last step will reboot your PC)
- Verify that Vanquish is running and check your mail. A warning appears:
Do you want to keep blocking this program? Name: javaw
Click unblock. This allows Vanquish to access mail. * Much Better Instructions!
A far better solution is to upgrade to our dramatically improved edition, vqME. There is no upgrade cost for paid users and the new service gives you 5 free mailboxes in addition to protecting your existing addresses! vqME offers many other advantages. For example, the original program worked only with Windows, was limited to one PC, caused delays when sending our receiving large messages, has no web mail interface, and required users to install Java (16MB)! It also has issues with Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. All of these issues have been addressed in the new version and a dozen powerful features have been added...
Click here for instructions on how to switch to vqME. We will guide you on saving your lists, uninstalling the legacy software, and configuring your email program for a wildly improved experience. |
