How to UNinstall or Cancel vqME

Question: Is it difficult to Suspend or Cancel vqME? Will mail be restored to my regular email addresses?

Answer: You can do any of these things:
(1) Temporarily suspend vqME (a single checkbox!), (2) Uninstall software from your PC but continue service, (3) Remove vqME from the path of incoming mail, or (4) Cancel service (uninstalls software and routes mail back to your original email service).

1. To temporarily suspend vqME without returning mail to your original email provider, see this tip.

2. For most Windows users, uninstalling vqME is simple. Use the Add/Remove Programs feature of Control Panel or click Start » Programs » Vanquish Software » Uninstall vqME.

Two checkboxes let you make these choices:

Are you simply uninstalling vqME software or do you wish to cancel service and delete any mail from the vqME server.
Do you want your email program restored to original settings? Mail will be retrieved from your ISP without checking for spam or viruses.

If you have our software on your PC, but cannot launch the regular uninstall process, you can still clean out our software manually like this.

3. Remove vqME from the incoming mail process, but without uninstalling. (Step #1 is always a better choice!)

4. The easiest way to terminate service is to use method #2 above which removes the local software - but check off the options to cancel service and restore your email program settings. If you are not using the tray utility or if it fails to complete, you can both remove software, terminate service and route mail to your own address with this manual procedure. Alternatively, you could write us and ask to cancel your account.
